SITE REPORTS, SITE SURVEYS/AUDITS & LIGHTNING PROTECTION PLANS

Site Survey (Greenfield Site)

A report that highlights the lightning related issue recommending appropriate solutions and equipment. This report is offered to clients in a basic format that concentrates on the provision of soil resistivity, resistance to earth, continuity & equal potential bonding measurements taken on site and a more comprehensive report that not only concentrates on the provision of measurements taken on site but also recommendations on the type of equipment solutions and mounting or installation locations and diagrams.

Site Audit (Brownfield site)

A report that concentrates on existing lightning protection equipment.  This report is offered to clients in a basic format that concentrates on the provision of soil resistivity, resistance to earth, continuity & equal potential bonding measurements taken on site and a more comprehensive report that not only concentrates on the provision of measurements taken on site but also recommendations on the type of equipment solutions and mounting or installation locations and diagrams

Lightning Control Plan

A site plan that is added to the overall Site Dossier, where, lightning protection equipment is displayed within a site map specific to a hazardous or non hazardous area, including the exact installation location, type of equipment, effectiveness range of equipment and serialisation or coding of lightning protection equipment attached to a PM program. This is essential in reducing potential risk associated with incorrectly installed, inefficient or ineffective lightning protection  equipment within a hazardous or non hazardous area.

Maintenance of Equipment

A report that logs the performance of the lightning protection equipment over a monthly, quarterly, bi-annually or annual period in relation to an established baseline. Lightning protection equipment is similar to any other machinery or equipment within a manufacturing process. It requires careful planning and testing as part of installation. It also requires maintenance on a regular basis to ensure that it is operating effectively. In some instances where lightning protection equipment is being used in a hazardous area, it may be critical to that process that lightning protection equipment is part of an ongoing preventative maintenance program.

Post Incident Investigation Report

An investigation into an incident and subsequent  report that looks at the reasons for why an incident has occurred and what role (if any) lightning played in relation to the incident.
